If a scheduled post fails, it’s usually a connection permission or platform rule. Here’s how to get back on track fast.
Common causes
- Expired permissions: reconnect the social profile in Settings → Social Connections.
- Missing page access: ensure your user has posting rights for the business page.
- Asset rules: some platforms block images with too little/too much text. Try a lighter variant.
- Caption length: keep within platform limits; Draftovo warns if your copy is too long.
What to do 1) Open the failed item from the Calendar banner or Creatives list. 2) Read the error note for hints (expired token, permission, size, etc.). 3) Fix the connection or edit the creative. 4) Click Retry publish or reschedule to a new time.
Preventing repeats
- Reconnect profiles every few months to refresh tokens.
- Use platform‑appropriate sizes (square for IG feed, 4:5 for LinkedIn often performs well).
